With regard to the follow-up, my opinion is very positive since the antepartum consultations were long and allowed me to clarify all my doubts about giving birth at home. I especially liked the human aspect (affection, attention). During labour, what I liked most was how quickly the team arrived when I needed them. I felt confidence in the team and serenity, giving me the confidence that I was going to be able to do everything. In the post-natal period, I really enjoyed the consultations and felt that I learnt important things (...) I found the care more humane and respectful than in traditional care (...).

I am so grateful for my birth team. I have felt supported throughout pregnancy, birth and post-partum which has definitely been the hardest part. Érica and Marília form such a great duo that I would recommend to anyone. They are very caring and supportive, yet have empowered me to make my own decisions and be independent throughout. They made me realise my new role as a mother in a gentle, yet empowering way.
I really like their devotion during birth too and really did not push me at all into whatever situations which would have been more comfortable for them. It was all about me and the baby which I really loved! We had to make the hard decision to transfer to the hospital after more than 24 hours of labour, and again, this was done in an empowering and calm way. It was my decision! They knew nurses at the hospital which made things easier and I felt reassured.
They also remained available during post partum and I consider them as my baby's aunties 🙂

I loved that you two always used a lot of time when you where with us. I never felled you where in a rush. That was very nice. Also the informations where clear and complied. I felled that you know what you are doing. Your calm attitude made me feel safe and enabled me to go true all of it. I was amazed that you know our birthplace and respected it to the dot without us even thinking about that we had a birthplan. During the birth I felt you where always there and the same time we felt like in our own little bobble. You two stepped up to help just on the right moment, when Gareth needed his rest.
It was a beautiful surprise to give Jacob good wishes when we cut the cord. Very nice. It made it special and personal and not too spiritual. Thanks for that. Your help after birth here at home and with "whatsapp" was very important for me. It helped me to slowly feel more secure about what I am doing.
Our first child was born in a planned home birth in Brazil, and the decision to move to another country involved finding a team that could help us have our second baby at home too. (...) Marília and Érica were always in contact with us and as soon as we arrived they came to meet us and start the antenatal care in person. For me, the most important thing about having this home monitoring is the bond that is created with the people who will be there on the day of the birth, we end up getting to know everyone who will be there, and this gives us greater security.
Their work was impeccable, they were always available and helpful, and very concerned about my health and that of Serena. All the questions that arose during pregnancy and labour were clarified and the decisions were made by me and my husband. They kept us informed of situations but we were always the ones who had the final say, and having that power of decision respected is very important.
The birth went wonderfully well, as did the post-natal visits.
Having a home birth has always been our choice because we consider birth to be a physiological event, and we want to be at home, in a cosy environment, with people who give us security.
Choosing Marília and Érica to monitor my pregnancy was the best decision I could have made. From the very first consultation they were always very friendly and attentive, and they were very caring. They were concerned about my well-being in all areas - physically, emotionally, etc. They also gave me and my partner all the information we needed at every stage of the pregnancy, which made us feel more secure about the whole process and left me feeling more confident in my ability to give birth. They were always very patient with all our questions and were available by Whatsapp outside of appointments. I never felt that they were in a hurry (which is unusual in conventional counselling).
My labour was as remarkable as any, but in my case it was even more so because of the support I received. Érica and Marília were incredible. They created a safe and loving space for my daughter to enter the world and allowed me to have the birth I dreamed of. I'll have great memories for the rest of my life. The postnatal support also exceeded expectations, especially when it came to breastfeeding. Given some of the difficulties I had, I don't know if I would have been able to continue breastfeeding without the support they gave me initially. And once again, they were always available to answer any questions we had via WhatsApp (...)
There are many unknowns and fears that accompany a first pregnancy and childbirth, but I can say without a doubt that I went through them more calmly and happily because of the support I had. It was intimate and personalised - exactly what I wanted. I would recommend this marvellous team without any hesitation.
